Installation
BusinessSuite supports two SQL servers: Firebird SQL and Microsoft SQL. The choice of database platform is a major
factor in performance, growth and implementation costs. For more information about the two database types, see the
Requirements page.
There is a single installation file that will install BusinessSuite for either platform. If you select
Firebird SQL as your database then the Firebird client and/or server will be installed automatically during the
installation process. If you select Microsoft SQL as your database then you will need to ensure the SQL Server is
installed and working prior to the installation as only the client will be
installed.

BusinessSuite Setup
Save the download file to an easy to find location on your computer (on your desktop, for example).
When the download has completed, double click on the file to start the setup
installation process. Follow the on screen prompts to
install the software. Additional steps may be required depending on your database platform. You should talk
to your Information Technology provider (or BusinessSuite Partner) if you have any questions.
After BusinessSuite has been installed, start the BusinessSuite Administration software and create a licence server and company database.

Update
BusinessSuite Australia's products are updated using a continuous release method called 'evolutionary delivery'.
This allows us to deliver the latest features and updates to our customers on a regular basis.
Select the update you wish to download:

BusinessSuite Mini Update
Updates for the BusinessSuite program files,
reports, tools and feature updates.
You can use BusinessSuite Administration to check for updates and
automatically install them on all computers. Click on the Updates button
in BusinessSuite Administration to start the process.
If you wish to update manually, click on
the link to start the download. Save the download file to an easy to find location on your computer (on your desktop, for example).
When the download has completed, double click on the file to unpack the
update. Unpack the update to your main application installation folder, usually 'C:\Program Files (x86)\BusinessSuite Accounting'.
This update needs to be run on all computers where BusinessSuite is installed. For networks, copy the file to a shared folder and perform the update on every computer. In a Terminal Services environment, the update only needs to be performed on the server.

BusinessSuite Database Drivers
Updated database drivers for BusinessSuite.
The drivers are database specific and must replace the existing driver. Multiple versions of the same driver can cause errors. You should only update drivers when directed by BusinessSuite support.
Click on the link to start the download. Save the download file to an easy to find location on your computer (on your desktop, for example). Install the driver by running the installation program.
